Lili, I really need to ask you... could you please use BBcode from Flickr instead of HTML? I have to use the small screen theme on the laptop and ipad, and all your shots (and others' shots, too) turn out elongated/squared away inside the small theme. I know that I am not the only one using the theme and seeing this, I am probably the only one rude enough to say so ... sorry...

Here's an example of how it looks in the theme, I'm sure the camera in question is of different proportions :)

BB Code?

Excellent choice in cameras, I have a Konica too, a full/half frame. Economy on film you get 72 shots if you want!

Konica rock. indeed.
Looking at my work, scanned and unscanned with this camera....damn I miss the shallow DOF and sweet bokeh...does the X100 draw so well?

35mm lens F2 about 9 feet away, look at the shallow DOF!

I admit to not being around much lately, but you seem to have some renewed energy levels.....perhaps the canteen shaped cameras have something to do with this

I haven't been around much either. As for renewed energy, I've hardly shot in months. Perhaps I am the queen of illusion? Though I have to say I like this thread for the simplicity and attainability of the cameras featured in it not that I am buying anymore :)

I have been coping with family health and job issues. Loss of energy is an understatement, part of me yearns for simpler and happier/more innocent times

Understatement indeed-- if only humans could hibernate, you know? These cameras aren't necessarily simpler and I'm not even sure the people of those times felt that their time was easy any more than we do ours [though ours is definitely more fast paced], they were probably looking back like us too, however there is a feeling with each one of these cameras and in general, short of a malfunctioning one, it is calmer, soothing. Which is why I am reeeaaallly having a hard time sorting through mine, what to keep and what to let go to people who will maybe shoot more than I do now. There isn't the encouragement of big money at the end of the tunnel with these, only less cameras.

Nostalgia equals rose tinted glasses lol
