I have a HP T1100 24" wide carriage printer and a roll of Photo paper; but the photo printing software that I have does not let me print larger than 11 x 17. I would love to try some poster sized prints from my K-01. Does anyone have any recommendations?

what software came with your printer?

Also, what other software is on your computer?

Luke,

Nothing came with the printer. The driver is a download from H P site.

The only photo printing software on the computer are a couple of H P programs included with desktop printers and Picasa from Google. I have turned jpegs into pdf's and printed using Acrobat; but that seems a bit Rube Goldberg, I've not wasted any of the photo paper on these, but IQ is not what I want.

I have had the printer for a couple of years, the paper was thrown in as an incentive.

Only since I've had the K-01 have I had the desire to make a few large prints.

I tried a search to find a print utility to solve my issue. What I found was lots of companies that can print poster sized prints, utilities for Cannon, HP, and Epson consumer printers (8 1/2 x 11 & 11 x 12, etc) and a reference that you can make large prints with photoshop elements and Lightroom. Does anyone know if this is indeed fact?

You should be able to print right out any application that opens your images. You just need to go into the print drive from the print dialog box to setup the printer. You can print any size out of any image processing software--the print size has nothing to do with the application, but the driver.

That's what I'm looking for is an application that allows a print size of 24 x 36. The programs I have don't go larger than 8 x 10.

The printer driver is where you setup the print size. If you have installed your printer driver, you should find it in the application you use to process or view your images--jst go to the print option in the file menu of that application. The print dialog box should allow you to go to the printer setup.

Agreed! I set the paper size for Arch D (24 x 36) go to my photo print program (Picasa) it has set-ups for up to 8 x 10, when I hit print, it puts an 8 x 10 image in the middle of a 24 x 36 sheet. Adobe Acrobat allows me to "fit image to paper size" but that program doesn't allow great resolution.

I need to find a program that gives photo resolution and fits up to D size.

I'm just bumping this. Can anyone tell me if Lightroom or Photoshop Express has templates for large prints, or the ability to "Print to Paper Size"?
