"Adobe Creative Cloud pirated in just one day... "

A fortunate consequence of Adobe's high prices for its professional grade products is the rise of great apps like Pixelmator and iDraw. Affordable and powerful enough for non-professionals like myself!

Don't know iDraw but I am nearly ready to drop PS for Acorn + Pixelmator

I'm a long-time GIMP user that's new to Pixelmator, but I might pick up Acorn as well if there are certain features, usability advantages, or if it beats GIMP and Pixelmator to supporting 16-bit TIFFs.

BTW, iDraw is an Illustrator alternative for Mac and there is a great iPad version too.

Ahh, OK. Vector drawing is well beyond my talents, I'm afraid. I like Acorn because it plays nice with iPhoto, and does almost all I want it to. The thing it doesnt do is talk to the Nik tools, I've posted in the Acorn forums about it and they said they would be looking into doing an open in, so that one could access other tools from inside the program... it would be a boon. The built in filters are OK, enough for most purposes. It lacks a good healing tool to match the content aware nature of CS5+ but overall is a good replacement.

Check the docs at Acorn: Index, you might find what you need to know in there.
