I've been looking at Kia - here in Europe they give a 7 year - 150,000 kms warranty on the major parts - this years models look more stylish - but as we spend maybe one third of our time in the city and two thirds in the country we wanted something not too large - in fact Golf, (Rabbit to you lot in the US), size plus the ability to explore rural Spain and France, which we intend to do this year - (there are some really nice parts of inland rural Spain and although the roads are generally good some are terrible but at the end of the road the little villages are fascinating) - the Yeti 4WD will suit - have a look at some of the Utube vids on the Yeti off road
I'm probably getting quite excited - but I have just had the dealer quote for fitting the tow bar - Euros 750 - it is all this CANBUS system and electronics in reversing that gets messed up if the electrics are wrong - together with a re program of the on board info system - plus it takes two to three hours to remove and refit the rear bumper, (fender in the US), to put the tow bar bracket in place.
but it's just money - isn't it ................... ????
