WINNER ANNOUNCED LUKE! 19th serious compacts salon challenge - film noir

Hello everybody, personal issues have kept me away from the forum for some months now, so I apologize for jumping back into the forum with posting in the challenge. I don't think this pictures applies, it has been taken with a leica and noctilux lens, but it is indeed a Noir picture, very Noir indeed if you look closely. It is part of a project I did in an abandoned mental sickness home which has been occupied by homeless people for many years.

Kind regards to all.

I'm afraid I don't know about Noire but I know what I like. Powerful photo, powerful series. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much for your nice comment, and thanks to Alberto, the model, who begged me for weeks to come to the mansion.

welcome back to the fold, I remember some way back you mentioned personal issues. I hope they are resolved. Nice to see you back with a bang too. Powerful photo I must say.

A hauntingly beautiful image.

Petach, Miguel,

Thanks you very much for your appreciation, and yes, my personal issues although there is still a lot to do, are improving, one step at a time. A lot has to be rebuilt. Not sure it's the right place for specifics regarding that matter but no worry, I'm safe, thanks a lot for your concerns :).

Take care,

Kian

EDIT: I'd like to withdraw this image for consideration in the current challenge, as I have another I would prefer to enter. I won't delete it, though, as a few people have seen fit to add thanks

I think of noir as a very urban, novelistic genre, and the sort of images I make at the moment don't really fit that concept; this one is rather more gothicky than noir, but I'd rather post something recent than go digging in my archive ...
