Why's your friend using that big, clunky, old-fashioned camera:)?

It's an original Canon 5D and I think it is an "old friend" to him. He is "F Street" on flickr.

Hey John... How long ago do you think a special breakfast went for 50 cents? Even if it was going for cost for that one hour?

EDIT: I just did an inflation calculation. A five-dollar breakfast in 2012 would have been 68 cents in 1963... and 53 cents in 1948.
