Feedback Does Flickr respect copyright of uploaded images?

Sorry, my comment was much abbreviated. I should have said:

People posting blackout images don't like the new interface and don't want it forced on them when the beta period is done. They hope that if a large enough group refrains from using Flickr, their collective one-day protest pleas will be heard.

It will be no more effective than all the complaints raised about the last change. I looked at the new UI, like it even less than the last. I may end up switching to iPernity or 500PX awesome after all. Flickr is getting to be a real pain in the proverbial

I finally read up what the folks were complaining about. Some valid complaints. But the format isn't so bad. I'd like the ability to right click to get to the all sizes option.

This thread has given me some interesting bits of info on Flickr that I was not aware of. I too saw the protest images and did a bit of investigation to see what it is all about. The new format doesn't seem too bad. At least they still support large files and offer 1T storage.
It does seem the Flickr is going to go the way of Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter by finding a way to include advertising and attract more users. It's all about finding a way to make it profitable.

I don't even have that much hope, I just like to bitch. I share the sentiments of a fellow professor whose retirement dinner my father went to while I was still living 'at home' - 'I've seen a lot of changes in my life, and I've been agin every one of 'em!' Well, most of them, anyway. I prefer CD's to vinyl, and I do have a soft spot in my heart for digital cameras!
