Critique Wanted Poll: Please help me choose a photo

Student for life
I need to send one photo for a contest of the local photography club I recently joined. The theme is: weather.

The plan was to send in a photo of someone looking at me from their bike in storm and rain, but I haven't been able to get such a shot yet. Therefore I need to choose an earlier one.

Could you please help me out by selecting one of the following? Comments are welcome!

Your help is much appreciated!

Thanks. I understand what you're saying. I had similar thought but these shots were taken during a storm at the beach, so I thought "storm = weather". Rain or thunderstorm clouds may have worked better (we don't have tornados here) but this was the closest I could get so far.
I voted for #2. I love the movement. It doesn't really speak "weather" to me, but given those 4, that is my choice.

oops. I noticed it too but thought it was something different (I did not scroll down). Admin: HELP!!!!!! Could someone remove the poll from the front page? Or could/should I do something.

WTF? Nice poll but it completely screwed the front page display.

[edit] Never one to run with the crowd, I like the last.

I have asked the powers that be to look into the front page display issue. In the meantime, click on "active discussions" to navigate. Once you click on a thread, you can also use the right menu bar to navigate. When the look of the front page changes abruptly, it can be a shock, but beneath it all...everything else is operating as before.

The second image is far more tumultuous than the rest so while I like the composition in the first image, I think the second would get my vote. :) Good luck with the contest!

Thanks for the great help! I'll go for #2 unless I can find the time and opportunity to take a rain shot with silhouette, umbrella, and backlight before the deadline.

For Lawrence: #1 is straightened. I thought it was off as well but the horizon is straight. Checked in LR. Probably the shape of the dunes and the person are misleading.

Again...many thanks!

Peter

I'd go for the last one, the glasses, (spectacles) - if you think about the competition there my be many like your other shots - the last one may be different enough to catch the judges eye.

Good luck
