Single in January 2015 - How's the ride? (Days 1-10)

Today has been a struggle - back to work, then had to go to hospital for an MRI scan on my poorly big toe (don't laugh, more painful than it sounds), and now it's getting gloomy if not dark. Might have to be an abstract again...

Sounds dangerous - I hope that it'll get better soon. As for gloom - well, that's part of winter, isn't it; I prefer it outside instead of inside, though ...

So how's the ride - bad, bad, really bad. Work started again after holiday period and no time at all to even think about shooting. Luckily I took a safety shot from the window in my office. Only value in that picture is to demonstrate that we also see the sun, yippee and maybe, HQ of Angry Birds :)

I hear you - it sort of felt similar, though I managed to sneak out during an early break for about three minutes and tried a couple of contre-jour shots; nothing really compelling, though. I'll post an outtake, anyway - an OOC JPEG that I actually think is astonishing in terms of what the camera's image engine is achieving; I had all sorts of troubles trying to post-process it - the camera did a fine job.

Really struggled today. Time was against me. I lost a large chunk of my life trying to get a Netgear (Un-)ReadyNAS to work. Two and a half hours on remote chat resulted in 15 minutes of browsing to get a third party piece of backup software, which worked perfectly and without a hitch. Never again.

So today my photo is all about time...

Well dangit. I was on vacation and missed this til now. So I do have some shots from those days, and could probably find shots all taken with the XT1 and 27mm pancake...

I have a lot of catching up to do on commenting within the gallery. If I've not got to you yet, I will get there some time soon but not tonight. It's almost 1 am here on a school night zzzzzzzzz

Well today I didn't get a chance to get out and shoot, but thankfully the sun was out in the morning and I grabbed a quick shot through the living room window. Was busy all day and then by the time I wasn't it was snowing again. Sounds like another 4-5 inches on top of the little over an inch we had yesterday. I hope you guys like snow!

Well, I thought I had two more days of being able to shoot during the day, but it was not to be. Three emails and a text message received from clients on Sunday were enough to convince me to cut the vacation short and go in today. So, my nightly excursions began a couple of days earlier than I thought.

Still sick, but did manage 4 days of shots. I missed the 1st, that was when the flu first hit [bulldozed] me. All processed and uploaded though I'm a touch embarrassed I couldn't get out to do better. Anywho.. gonna try again tomorrow. Night all.

Sorry folks, I hate to say it but I'm throwing in the towel this time. I'm really struggling with external factors and I currently don't have much time participate.

You'll be missed mate - as I've really been enjoying your B+Ws this year. But I'll not harbour the thought as I don;t want yu feeling guilty mate - you do what you can with us when you can.

Don't be a stranger...drop in and say g'day whenever you get the chance.

That you get anything posted, while battling the flu, is a testament of determination and "can/will do"!

In order to happen upon a couple of good opportunities, I took a walk instead of the bus or bike to get to the shops, but not much luck this time. I think I'm going to have to resort to the safety I took right at the start, but maybe something else crops up. It's a very misty day, but it turns out to be extremely hard to get a good picture of it. Somehow, this kind of lightning and the lens/camera combo don't click (for me, yet).

Safety, safety, safety! I'd like to say I'm stopping for the shot I want, but instead I'm pulling over for the shot I *need* - this was supposed to be relaxing, right? LOL. Back to my Zen mantra... [emoji14]
