good on you, Ed. He sure is a handsome guy. Hopefully his past will fade from his memory under your family's love. And then he'll be ready to find his forever home. The hardest part about being a foster parent for a dog is not getting attached.

Here are my 3.

Sadly, Ms. Sammie is no longer with us. She was a rescue from a few years back, a Doberman/Rottweiler mix.

Our first, Chopper is a Shar-Pei. Runt of the litter, he has quite a unique personality. He is currently 12, but still plays with other dogs like he is a puppy!

Finally, Sabre - another rescue. He is a Doberman/German Shepard mix. We got him from the pound. His white on the muzzle is from the previous owners. They muzzled him for so long and had it so tight that it dug into his skin. When the fur grew back, it was white. You can still feel the indent in his skin.

He is very vocal and strong willed, but we love those traits as he keeps our home safe. No one messes with Sabre.

Thanks Luke. He has another op on his knee this afternoon but is recovering nicely. We can probably fetch him home tomorrow :) It seem the meniscus was torn and folded back (?) but also, a screw from the plate was broken and so this may have contributed to his limp. They removed the plate, they were going to anyway as they were going in to look at the meniscus, so hopefully he'll be comfortable again.

I've never had pet insurance...and we sure have spent a lot of money on our pets. Just before Christmas we sadly had to put our 18 year old cat to sleep after a round of treatments...then our dog was in the hospital for almost a week - very expensive!!!! But we love them so we take care of them. Please keep us up-to-date with Little B's recovery!:flowers_2:

Home.....

in his rightful place, on Little Ro's bed :) We collected him at lunchtime and he's been very wobbly on his feet. I think it's worse than the original operation where the bone was broken. He's mostly hopping at the moment and feeling a bit sorry for himself. The fun and games begins now, keeping his still and stopping him doing stairs and jumping on/off furniture.
