Single in January 2016, days 21-31 How are you finding it??

I apologise for the dodgy processing and the "carpet-bombing" - just posted five days worth, processed in Polarr, on my tablet. Decided I couldn't wait for my PC to be fixed... ;)

Let's say that accidents do happen and if I'm lucky my camera will need just a new screen and a new rear shell.
Ouch - let's hope for the best. If you still can influence things, have them check the shutter mechanism, too. I once took a fall with my E-PM1 in hand, and though I had to absorb most of the impact, it still suffered - and the one component that gave out way too early in the end was the shutter (first curtain stopped moving ...).

I'll take a bit longer to post today's photo. The thing is... the photo I like the most is not really that "from above". Well, it is some 5 meters higher, but the angle and distance makes that not so visible. I have a few ok from a clearly high perspective, but nothing that really satisfies me. Let's see what the judges rule...

Really struggling with low mood but will try to keep to the challenge. Doing some quick maths there seems to be about 15 members active in this SiJ.

I've again set myself the challenge to make a written comment on each photo - something that's reasonable for me but not for more busy members (as I'm retired).

The standard of images is as good as any other year but with all that snow I think we need a Single in July.

Well done to everyone who has posted - let's finish with a flourish for the last 6 days.

This has been an interesting challenge for me, in ways that I don't want to explain before the end of the month (I'm not being mysterious for no reason, bear with me...). Time has been my primary enemy, combined with the (hopefully temporary) death of my main PC, which has meant that I can't process as I would like to. One of the casualties has been my ability to find time to comment, for which I sincerely apologise, particularly to those who have made the time to comment on my efforts. I have viewed everything, but often on a train, or late at night, on a tablet or 'phone, which is not conducive to the provision of sensible feedback (and I refuse to make "nummy noises"!) Bill's absolutely right - the standard has been high this year and I think if anything more creative, probably because those who have done it before are trying not to repeat motifs from previous years.

One more week - come on chaps! ;)

I've found it difficult this time. Not sure if it was my camera choice or just that post Christmas blues time. I've been a sporadic poster at best and have found it difficult to get to grips with the gallery in posting comments. I tend to use my iPad which is incredibly slow..... Although I've had 3 days in Spain I'm not sure if there's enough space on my iMac to put the pictures into Lightroom! 35gb storage space left. My son in law has transferred all my photos except the 2015 ones and they are on yet another hard drive however I really want him to check that they are there before I delete everything to make some space. In Spain I saw at least 10 possible pictures before I even raised my camera..... got to learn to be ready.

Good to see still a reasonable number of participants!

Myself... I've struggled over the past two day, lot's of meetings at work, no time to explore anything outside.
