How's weather at your place?

60 degrees Fahrenheit and sunny at my house today. The temperature will plummet tonight into the 20s and wet heavy snow is forecast for the morning. 6-10 inches. And I have to commute to New York City on a bus. Ugh.

Currently overcast and 3C. feeling like -2C with an unpleasant easterly wind.

We're looking after our friends' dogs this week, and I got definite "must we?" looks this morning when it was time for walkies. I felt the same way, but we don't get our supper if we haven't had our walkies.

Blizzard conditions with 12+inches of snow today in Boston

Saw all that on the news. How crazy is it that over there, you get flooded and over here, we are baking. Still... Thats Australia for ya.

Today we are not going to be 47ºC, we have been downgraded to 43ºC. Oh joy.
I've been hiding in the house today, blinds drawn to protect from the heat. Too hot to even cook anything in the kitchen.

Well our downgrade was a furphy. Still made it to 46ºC, i only have one functioning a/c which is not in my bedroom, and I am not coping well at all. Old, sick, etc. Dammit. Seriously thinking about getting some portable a/cs. Cant afford split system + install costs. Financial challenges abound, however. Kogan, perhaps.

This week we've had our coldest Feb day ever and our second wettest day ever - Sue has all the summer weather with her on the east coast. :friends:

Please take it back. I dont belong in this weather. I've been getting texts and phone messages from the rural fire service to say get the hell out if a fire flares up near you. Conditions arent just horrible, they are catastrophic.

Thus is very alarming, Sue. Do you sleep in the room with the air conditioner? Can it keep up wuth the heat in that room at least? And is electric power reliable at your home? Time to move farther south?

Yikes, that sounds bad, Sue! Does spraying water into the air for it to evaporate help?

Here, temperatures are hovering around 0 degrees C (freezing point), sometimes a bit above, sometimes a bit below. Lots of moisture in the air made for some seriously unpleasant weather for a few days, but since yesterday it's been snowing - first proper snow i've seen in this part of the country in almost 4 years! Well, no more than 5cm / 2 inches, but it looks very pretty. Had 3 snowfights with my girlfriend today!
