Film What Film Cameras do you use?

Let's see, just the ones I kept.
M2...M3...M4,(embarrassed to post how many I have)...M5..M6,(a few I kept).
Sold the M7 because it was well, not an M4.
I don't do film anymore, haven't really this century.
I love the intuitive way I was with photography in my M4 daze.
I never used a meter even for assignments. Many times I would call out the exposures to other shooters at an event.

I used to be a photographer. Now they call me a shooter and I use cameras with AF, ISO stuff, meters etc.
I still dream at night about walking the street with my M4 and a roll of Tri-X in it.
Then in the morning I load a card and battery into the GF1 or LX5 and I try to find the photographer in me...
I need to go back to sleep cause this has got to be a nightmare....

Okay now I am gonna be bummin' the rest of the day.

I've used a couple of point and shoot fixed lens and fixed focus film cameras in the past. Then switched over to a Canon APS film camera, the predecessor to the digital Canon Elph. Now, my film camera is an old M7 0.85. Got a great deal on it at this collectibles camera shop in AZ.

Contax G1, here with 35mm Zeiss lens, on Ilford HP5+ printed on Ilford MGIV. I also have the 45mm and 90mm lenses. Love, love, love that camera. I also have a Nikon F2sb and a Vivitar Series 1 35-80mm, Nikkor 50mm f/1.8, 55mm macro and 135mm f/2.8 lenses. Oh, and a Yashicamat.

Lili, I'm envious of your Hexar RF.

In addition to the Nikonos, I now have:

* Leica CL
* Zeiss Super Ikonta III (6x6)
* Fuji 645 (6x4.5) which is a medium format point and shoot and one of the funnest cameras ever. It takes the most glorious slides. I'll scan one of the pics tonight and show you.

Film cameras

I was rummaging through my closet the other day and found my old Nikon L35AF film camera that still had film in if from at least 12-15 years ago. I took the film for processing, but it had never been exposed. They didn't charge me for the developing which I felt was really nice. It was at CVS, which is the only drugstore that does processing and printing here, even Walmart stopped. Now they send it out and it takes about 3 days. I haven't tried it yet. When I finish the Ektar 100 in my Rollei 35S I will probably sent it to NCPS. They did a wonderful job scanning my slide film from a Nikon F6 and I think it was the cheapest scan for around $ 5 or so. I will probably select the next scan up for the Ektar.

I have the AF, not the Hexar RF, would love to to have RF too!
deirdre the CL is superb little camera, the 2 folders; Zeiss and Fuji rock.
Wanna see those slides!

This weekend I'm shooting the July 4Th celebration with the X100 but I'm mainly using my Black Lac M4 and 35 Cron.
My friend sent me this from Paris a few months ago.
I'll be using Tri-X @ ASA 640 and developing the film myself.
The film will be developed in my custom mix of Rodinol. I mix all my own formulas.

This could be interesting but I'm excited to use this camera.

Gosh, woof, that is a really beautiful photograph - love the colors and wash of clouds across those wide open places. Seeing a film image like this reminds how beautiful real film is. This picture gives me a big giant breath of fresh air. Many thanks!

My father's pride and joy. I don't even know if you can still get film for it. It was a wonderful camera in its time and I suspect it still would be. Just looked at the bellows and it seems like there wouldnt be any light leaks.

Used to be my pride and joy once. It was my first and only film SLR. weighed a ton. The shutter began jamming about 10 years ago and I have just never got round to making the effort to have it fixed. Local camera shop said it would cost more than the camera was worth so I bought a new K200D instead, and this poor thing and its lens has been languishing in the cupboard for years. Dusty and grubby, not much use to anyone anymore.

I still have my OM-10 somewhere (and has film in it for all I know), just found my son's Nikon tucked away in his room, Husband's T3 is always out ready if I want to shoot it. Yesterday's mail brought me a Yashica Lynx 5000 (plus some sub model # info). Haven't had much time with it. Everything "seems" to work except the open camera back button... Will load it with fresh Fujifilm Superia X-TRA. I was a much better photographer 40 years ago. I'm hoping the Yashica will make me slow down and really really think about what I am doing. (and no, I don't run my other camera's on Auto).
