My first street post- taken a couple of summers ago at a bustling night market in Taipei, Taiwan. The aroma from food vendors fills the air as you walk by crowds of locals bargaining for most everything being offered.

Thank you - of course I have seen many photographs, though, sadly, I've never been there in person.

The fact that you included the artist's drawing, is an especially nice touch - and really makes this picture much more than a mere snap shot of a famous place, marlof. But I guess you knew that.;)

I think it's the lighting...the glow, and also the scene has the look of a set. It actually reminds me of a Seurat painting - akin to Sunday in the Park - in black and white, of course.;)

Thanks BB and Ray.

I do not believe that shot would have been possible with an camera other than the X100. In the shooter's hands it is unassuming and non-threatening. The image capture is AMAZINGLY sharp corner to corner and the RAW file gives you so much to work with.......and oh, where are the blown highlights and unrecoverable shadow details?

An amazing camera......R

(sorry if any typos.....trying to write this with a "neglected" 15 lb. cat om my lap)
