Pentax How do you like your Pentax K-5? And please show us some of your photos!

Beautiful, Rich - my favorite is the water droplets. That first one of the leaf is amazing, as well but it looks a bit too much like part of my body, for me to feel comfortable. ;) The beaded water image - well they could be islands.

I've been ignoring my K-5 but decided that really I shouldn't. So, until the X100 comes (no, haven't ordered it yet) I'll still be shooting Pentax as well as the G11 and F550.

There was a great fog this morning, decided to head out to the Lake :)

It was soooo silent out there.

and then, a fast boat went by...

Wow Armando, that 100WR is really tempting me at the moment... though I'm too poor :'(

I sold my 31LTD and I'm probably going to get a DA21 and DA40 - gonna shink my kit and try and get out more with it :) Hows the GAS?

All K-5 + 18-135 on a recent birthday golf outing in Palm Springs.

The 18-135 is small and light for a super zoom lens. But I had a lot of trouble with the auto focus whenever the lens was not set on 18mm or 135mm. The lens would sometimes simply refuse to auto focus. So I returned the lens.

Very nice, though sorry to hear about the lens/auto focus issue. I like the dense color, if that makes sense. What a setting for a golf course - and I don't even like golf, but I'd be happy to drive/walk along through that place any day... Maybe on your next birthday?;)

It wasn't my birthday. It was my friend Eddie's 40th birthday. He is quite the friend and intentionally made this trip about celebrating his friendship with us, and not about himself. He organized the trip, paid for our lodging, paid for all of our golf related expenses, and paid for most meals. And then also gave us $280 Oakley sunglasses as party favors. So I'm looking forward to his 41st! :)

I like dense colors too. I'm pretty big on lots of contrast. Gives it more of a 3D pop, IMO. All part of the PP in LR3.4.
