Anyone game for a Single in January 2018 (SiG18) challenge?

Actually, I might go m43. Must be over a year since I've used it (donated to my son who refuses to take the PL20mm off it). If I use the Oly 75mm F1.8, then it won't be too hard to get something of a certain quality each day.
I’m also thinking of using the 75. My camera is not pocketable so it needs to be bagged anyway. It’s certainly an interesting focal length to use for a month.

Barring really bad WX (we already had 1st snowfall which normally doesn't happen until January), I'm too. I'll shoot the M3 now that I have the EVF and the 22mm. No excuses since it's a walkabout 35.

Troy aka. @NoSeconds - Ricoh GR II or Panasonic GX85 with 20mm .

After reorganizing my kit last night I found my secondhand silver Oly 45mm f/1.8 tucked away in a pouch where it has pretty much languished since i bought it... So I'm going to use it for the SIJ to force myself to either like it or move it along...

[Part of the reason it has been neglected, apart from the odd (to me) focal length, was how badly the small tapered silver lens clashed with my black bodies but the GX85 has a silver top-plate and doesn't look half bad...]

I'm not sure what I'll use. The sensible option would be the X-T1 + 16-50, but I have half a mind to swap the RX100 for a smaller sensor/bigger zoom model. In which case this would be a good testing ground for it (whatever it turns out to be).

I think I could get both (sensible and jacket-pocketable) from the G1X III ... but the V1 presents more of a challenge; plus I haven't used it a lot lately.

I think now I'm going to use my X100F. I tried using an earlier model once before and grew frustrated, swapping it for an X20 but the X100F is a much more capable all-rounder whilst still being pocketable... ish.

@kyteflyer Sue, no problem there! I just remembered how much I used to enjoy the results. I like to do p.p., but in January, time can be really tight, and I do prefer shooting over processing. The beauty of SiJ has always been that everyone did what they desired; true, limitations are part of the "challene" aspect, but most of all, it has to be fun.

Could be worse for SOOC ... although today, I'd probably risk the half-step to get a better angle; the situation was already dissolving as it was, though, so I had to be quick. A franction of a second earlier, both of them were pointing ...

Rethinking gear and first name: the original purpose of SiJ was to talk less about new gear, but use the gear you had, so I think it wouldn’t be fair to buy something for this. In stead I’m going to use the LX100 for a month to see if this camera can suit me or not. It wasn’t too reliable at first, but had major surgery twice, and hasn’t acted up since. Maybe it deserves a second chance. If we really don’t get along, I’ll see if someone else can befriend it. But for now, it’s my companion for a month. And although I like the name Marc a lot (reminds me of stillshunter) I think I’ll keep my own name Marlof. ;)

BTW: I have a suspicion that my friend Hanneke will join for SiJ once again. I’ve sent her a link to this thread, so who knows. Recently she traded her Nikon DSLR setup for Fuji mirrrorless, so my guess is that she’ll try that one. But who knows.

I'll be on the road next month ... count me in, Matt.
Not sure about the gear, but most likely I'll grab something around 28mm FF equ. again, maybe on the NEX-7 or I just use my tablet.
