These snaps of Pittenweem are straight out of the camera jpegs, no post processing.

Wow, Briar - great scenes!! I'm sorry I must have been in the process of posting pretty much as you were. That one of the Betty Smith is my favorite, I think...though all are very nicely done. She's just got a great style and the angle you took makes her look larger than life...love those reflections in her window's, too.

Well - Briar - these are lovely - personally I like the second shot best with the pile of rope and the harbour - but hey - they're all splendid.
I don't know that neck of the woods - although I do know the other side a little (Stonehaven, Aberdeen) - but actually, it could almost be a cornish fishing port where I did grow up.

BB - do you have a mini? Emma has one as well, we were supposed to be sharing it, but it doesn't really seem to be like that, whatever, Emma's black mini is a wondrous thing!

I do have a MINI, yes. Let's see now that I know you have one, well sort of have one, that makes I think four of us on here who have 'em. Mine is merely a Cooper, not an S but it's a wonderful car. I've had several since they first came out, but this one should be with me for a long time. MINI Coopers and cameras...and Shetland Sheepdogs are my "vices".

Ahhh - well, Emma has a mini cooper D - it's a black convertible one with a blonde inside . . . . which is not perfect for our Pyrenean sheepdog, which usually has muddy feet and spends a lot of time in the back. It was supposed to be a shared car, but the only time I get to drive it is if we go out to dinner and I'm doing the driving!:alcoholic:

My sister breeds Shelties - and my parents had one when I was a kid - and Caspar has a fine specimen in his agility class (who he rather fancies) - nice dogs.

in case you don't know Pyreneans:

and this gives you an idea of the size (about the same size as a large Shetland)

Both taken with the X100 so it's not :eek:fftopic:

there are lots more here (not taken with the X100) Caspar Growing Up

Those blonde interiors are gorgeous - though not the most practical, that's true.;) Caspar is very photogenic - and I did see these growing up pictures before, but am glad to have the link again. I hadn't been familiar with Pyreneans until I saw your pictures. Beautiful fur, I'm wondering if they're not shedders. I'll have to read more about them!

Hmmm shedders - He was born at Christmas 2009 (so he's just 18 months old). He was pretty fluffy last year, and didn't moult, but he is moulting at the moment, and hopefully all the fluffy stuff will go, just leaving him hairy.

They seem to be more feisty than Shelties (or at least than english shelties). Also, coming from the mountains they are not vertically challenged. I'm afraid he can jump from sitting and land delicately on the kitchen table back legs first, not ideal, and it's hard to persuade him not to do it! . . . . oops, now I am off topic!
