It does seem that for those of us advancing in years, there is a significant premium on having a VF...especially an EVF. While there are several very good Leica models that are compact, they don't have this important feature, not even the much larger x. Since Dale has had an x and currently XU...then maybe he can say how he deals. The smaller x1 series needs some kind of a VF. I gather that you (and everybody else) wants that grail of a larger sensor, compact body, built in EVF, and some how a very low form factor but high quality lens. Perhaps a Panasonic could do in a pinch...but no Leica, no Oly, and no Fuji (of note). I dropped my jaw when I saw the Leica T, also sans built in EVF, with Steve Huff mounting a massive new 35mm lens. How does anyone carry that monster around! I really appreciate the tiny lenses. For now, I keep my Nikon 1 (V1).
speaking of tiny lenses.....the MS Optical M mount lenses are very small. I wonder if anyone has tried a 24, 28, or 35mm version on their digital M's?
