the vale

That's really atmospheric Paul, with the clinging mist and broad dark trees, I quite involuntarily thought of triffids!
It does seem quite dark to my eye though, perhaps it's this screen though, I have been fiddling.

hehehe now i'm confused, what with Lili saying "lighter" and you saying "dark" !

the vale is very photogenic first thing in the morning and last thing at night (the most recent shot was just about 7am today) ... when it's really greened up and everything is in full leaf, the trees and copses look like giant clumps of broccoli (or calabrese) scattered across the landscape ...

(y) Well, it's easy for me to nudge you, Paul - but that view is so fascinating to see through not just the seasons but the weather patterns. I really want to make some books myself...now I just have to learn the how to's!

a bit of hazy evening light, shot quite into the sun, but this Tamron is very good at holding flare off ... I like the blue power line bisecting the scene

nearly the only snap I took all day .... lots of luck too, I had inadvertently switched on the 2s timer but she stayed still in just the right place just long enough!

Difficult for me to see what you see as I see this all the time ... if you see what I mean ... but I know what you mean, it brings to mind a certain Japanese handling of perspective, a sense of flat planes layered up, one upon another ...
