Fuji don't really make a bad lens - many are exceptional, some are spectacular.
This is one of the spectacular ones.
I was fortunate enough to pick one up second hand. 400 bucks off of new price!

I enjoy the 16mm for 10 stop filter landscape shots, composed & shot wonderfully slow.

This one actually a stack (HDR) that was manually bracketed from an XE-1.
Each shot (6-9 exposures) was around a minute + 40 seconds in daylight, give or take.

Not everyone's cup of tea (true HDR work), but I enjoy spending sometimes hours with the same area of subject matter, listening for it to smile at me.

Yes, it's the portrait side of it that's really got my attention, despite the relatively wide focal length. I'm going to Africa in January, not safari, just somewhere with loads and loads of people, in fact rarely will I be shooting one person. In that regard, it's now coming down to whether I get a (non weather resistant) X-E3 to replace my X-T1 or get this lens and right now, getting the X-E3 instead of the 16mm seems a bit silly.

I'm very seriously considering saving and getting this lens. I miss the wider angle images my 18mm gave me, and it doesn't appear as if the 18mm F2 WR is going to become a reality. The WR really came in handy recently when I was out biking and had the X-T1 + 23mm WR, and the weather progressed from sort of sprinkling to a steady downpour.

@rayvonn Lenses always make a bigger difference than camera bodies. I can say that the Fuji 16mm is the best 24mm equivalent lens I have ever shot with. Having shot several different 24mm lenses when I shot Canon, I feel confident in making that assessment.

@TonyTurley I can't agree more about having weather sealed lenses and bodies. They are priceless when you find yourself needing them. I've put Fuji's weather sealing to the test several times and it never disappoints.
