The state flower of WV growing in deep shade along the river. Handled carefully, the X30 is capable of perfectly usable jpg images, even in extreme lighting situations. I did tweak the jpg a little with Color Efex Pro2, but this is very faithful of the scene I saw.

I had an X30.. and I traded it, along with my X100T, X-Pro1 and X-T10, in order to swing the X-Pro2, X-T20 and some new lenses. I had mixed feelings even at the time, because the X100T and X30 shared the same battery and made a great travel pair. Of the cameras I traded in, it's the X30 that I think about the most. Ah, well... I do enjoy my latest Fuji cameras.

Same here, Steve. I had an X100 and X30 at the same time, but eventually sold both. I came to miss the X30, and eventually found a black one in excellent shape, and at a great price. The X30 shines for having that 2/3" sensor. I've learned better how to maximize its potential. I took the X30 and Lumix G1 along on my bike & hike in the mountains of WV over the weekend, and took quite a few parallel images with the two cameras. Despite the larger MFT sensor of the G1, I found the X30 produced the more pleasing images for the most part.
