You're going about it intelligently. That usually leads to a good outcome. Also, consider renting one for a weekend where you're going somewhere close but pretty. Read up on Rico's guides for how to use it, then go try to use it and actually experience what it's like as a tool. You never know, you might just bonk right off it and not like it at ALL. If, on the other hand, you find it fun to use and the pics you get with it are miles ahead of what you can get now, well then... giddyup.

I hadn't even considered that. I know a family friend who works with pictures, photography and such. I believe he does mainly weddings now but I wonder if he may have one on hand. I honestly am starting this as a hobby but would love to turn it into something more. I do appreciate the suggestion though. I would have not even thought about it otherwise!

And Thanks everyone. If I have any more questions for these cameras I will post it here. I feel like I am almost ready to buy one. I may see if I can test run one first but in the off chance I can't, I'll make sure to get it where I can return it. I also need insurance on it cause I do not want to break it by mistake and not be able to have it replaced. I never had an issue but better to be safe than sorry. haha
