Fuji X100f digital teleconverter work with TCL-X100?

Hi, anyone know if the X100f's digital teleconverter works in conjunction with the TCL-X100 teleconverter lens? If yes any idea what equivalent focal lengths can be achieved?

Many thanks.

Welcome Graeme.

Oh yes... Fuji X100F: First impressions on the streets of London

By my reckoning (see the comments below the article) with TCL-X100 Mk 1 or Mk2 attached (they are optically identical; Mk 2 have magnets that communicate with the X100F body to say which lens is attached) you will get 50-75-112.5mm with, and 35, 50, 75 without. Please note that you can't use the digital teleconverter when shooting raw.

That's fantastic, thank you. And as I'll mainly be shooting for screen I get some extra crop-factor too thanks to the 24MP sensor :-D

Welcome. My main use is travel, so a usable teleconverter can only be a bonus. Don't forget the WCL either; combine either with the digital teleconverter and you have a really flexible and compact setup.

And that's the deal breaker – and also why I haven't been able to use the digital teleconverter. The function doesn't present itself in my X100F, because I'd never select JPEG-only mode.

is that the WCL and TCL attached together? if so, more info, please! the other week while walking around, I had imaged it would be cool if there was some sort of threaded barrel that would allow both the WCL and TCL to attach to at the same time. I've seen some in the past, but for bayonet-type mounts (pretty much like two rear caps stuck together). I can't find anything threaded for 49mm.

edit: I just found something I could use -- a 49mm male-to-male coupler! well, assuming the rear thread pitch is the same as for the lens filter threads.

That's it exactly. I added two cheap sky filters to make it a little easier to grip and to provide protection to the lens rears when one is in use.

I spoke to SRB about marketing this when I was at the Photography Show in Birmingham a month or so ago - they didn't see a market in it...!

If you were in the U.K. I would suggest contacting SRB Photographic! Who could easily do what you want!

a little out of the way for me. I'd have to cross over the pond for that.

sweet! I'll be going over to B&H later today to pick up a coupler. and good idea on the cheap filters - I guess my 49mm lens caps I've been using for the rears won't work here. thanks.
