Greeting Camerads!

Let us, in the spirit of Cameraderie, (re)introduce ourselves to the bigger and better forum!

Tell us what forum you're coming from, what kind of subjects you like shooting, and if you're brave, add a selfie!
THis is the first I've heard of this ".org" and I'm a little confused. Obviously you have my email address and I was able to login (I think - although it is still asking me to log in), but with this post I think I understand. I used to be a member of the Nikon Cafe (although I thought it dried up and went away), and I used to be a member of Mu43 (and may still be), and I know I am still a member of TalkEmount, so this must be a new "access point" to some of these. Am I right? Would it be a true statement to say that all the members of the aforementioned forums have been transferred to this one? I know that I still have friends on TalkEMount.

I shoot a lot of stuff: IR, Landscapes, Nature (primarily wildlife), and of course my beloved family members, and anything that I feel the public may be interested in seeing. I use Nikons (D3S, D810, D500, N1J5, N1V3 - they each have their own strengths, and many others in the past), Sonys (a5100, A6000IR, and many others in the past), Olympus (Pen E-P2IR, and many others in the past), and there are other brands (film-based like Yashika) that I am leaving out.

Hello everyone! A beautiful spring here in the deep Ozark hills...

@ davidzvi : great to see you over here, David. A friendly face from NC...

A member of Nikon Café since 2005, FM since 2006, Nikonians, NikonGear....but the last two no longer participate much.

Was slow to get into Fuji but, now I seem to be getting in deeper and deeper. I still have some Nikon cameras and lenses. (Lots of lenses I will be letting go, as I am so enjoying my Fuji's !! :) )

Happened onto this site the other day, and well here I am!

:)

I'm still over on the Cafe as well. There are more than a few Cafe members here and over on mu-43. Welcome to the club.

I started taking pictures as a child in the late 1950's with various Kodak Brownies (I still have some) and 620 film. I took pictures of family, friends, buildings, trees and vacations with my family and other events. As a young teenager I was given a used Fujica rangefinder and started my 35mm film journey. I eventually graduated to a Nikon FM SLR and set up a B&W darkroom in the first house we owned. I have thousands of B&W images and prints, and hundreds of transparencies and now tens of thousands of digital image files.

I was always frugal with camera purchases, using the FM for 22 years. In 2004 I bought a Panasonic Lumix FZ20 and enjoyed it for about 8 years. I graduated (downsized) to the smaller Lumix ZS8, then moved to the more versatile LX7 and a year or so later I got an LX100, my current ‘one-and-only.’ The LX100 allowed me to return to the 'fully manual' kind of photography I had enjoyed decades ago, with up to date options offered by a full featured camera. I have given up the long-zoom for other features, but there are times I wish my camera had more reach.

Soon after purchasing the LX100, December 2015, I came across and joined Photographer’s Lounge to show images, share ideas, seek guidance, help others, and discuss small cameras.

Most of my current pictures are of my grandchildren; none of these are posted on public sites. A portion of the rest of my collection are shared here and on Flickr.

Love the LX100 too. It would be the perfect camera for me if it just had a manual zoom similar to the Fuji X10 series, and a flip screen. I fear we may never see a LX200 or a mark 2.

Hello from Scotland. Don’t think I’ve got enough battery left on my iPad to list all my cameras - I frequently succumb to GAS and, when it comes to camera gear, I’m also a bit of a hoarder. I’m not too loyal to camera brands either - all types, shapes and sizes are welcome to join my stash. Not sure I have a particular style in my photography, at least not a conscious one. I’m a keen traveller but even at home I usually have a camera with me. I made serious compacts my home years ago after a year at mu43, I visit here daily and occasionally join in the chat. The “single in” challenges are my favourite group activity here and I recommend you all join in the next challenge. Being of “fizzy brain” tonight I can’t remember when the next one is planned!

Here from FujiXspot.
Recently retired, getting a little more serious about a longtime hobby, struggling a little with osteoarthritis and a bad disc.

Nikongear is still going strong!

Thank you, Mike. Yes, I was just over there a few days ago, but I am not as active on the forums as I used to be. But, I still like to check in on occasion and see what is going on... I am just normally quiet; have to work at contributing...

I was confused when the email came through but understand now. I've been taking photos since I was about 10 years old. I had a Paxette 35mm. My father encouraged me. I still have his Contaflex 1.

Shot Nikon most of my adult life, Nikkormat, FPhotomic, FM & FM2. Moved to digital with D80 which could take some cracking photos but I did not like the "feel" of it. Got a D300 which I still have and still like and a D7000 which I still have but don't like. After carrying My Nikon gear in a back pack through Houston airport after a flight from the UK (with Suitcases as well) something had to change.

Bought a used X-e2 & 16-50mm then an X-t1 18-135mm and 14mm. I also have 4 Konica lenses 40mm,50mm,135mm & 200mm.I use all my "vintage" Nikon glass 24,35,50,105 and a couple of zooms. Can't bring myself to sell the Nikons (I blame Apocalypse Now) but shoot almost exclusively Fuji now.

I live in Costa Rica now having escaped the UK. Shoot landscape and wildlife and anything else that grabs me. My iPhone 6 is my fall back.

I still have a Nikkormat but as there don't seem to be any film labs in CR don't use it. Same goes for the Contaflex.

Joined Fuji X Spot. Occasional contributor but like to see what great stuff people are doing on a regular basis.

I'm still here and rushing towards my 70th birthday a week today. Here are a couple of images from this month.

Just figured out what these "cameraderie" emails I've been getting are about :) Cool!

I joined the Fuji X Spot site back a few years ago when I mostly switched from Nikon to Fuji in 2014. I still have an X-Pro2, but in 2016 I had the opportunity to pick up a Leica M240 at a great price and I've been shooting 99% of my stuff with that ever since. I lurked some on the Fuji board in the intervening years, but never posted actively. But I really like the community, so now with these combined boards I'll try to get more active.

I've been shooting for decades (my first "real" camera was a Pentax K1000 that I bought when it first launched in 1976! I was 11). I have previously shot Pentax (still have two K1000s and an MX), Nikon (still have an FM2), Canon, and Rollei 6000. I currently primarily shoot with the M240 and occasionally use the X-Pro2 as a backup.

I travel a lot and shoot actively, so I'll plan to post some pics from time to time.

Welcome Chayelle, I was at the café for years then gave up photography for almost ten years and landed here. Great bunch of people here. I have learned a lot.
