In my dreams! Bear in mind I had 20+ years of Leica use prior to Fuji and had built up a big M, R and LTM collection. Almost all gone now, and the funds used to buy into Fuji X, where one gets considerably more of what I believe our American friends refer to as "bang per buck"

Same thing for me. But with Canon 1D series bodies and L lenses. Combined with knowing very well how to work the used market buying and selling.

Bill, I won't be getting the Touit because of the manual focus thing, I believe it's a macro also and I have three . Between the other two , the 56 1.2 and the 50 f2, which do you prefer?

I get that, Tim, absolutely. I rarely MF so it isn't an issue to me per se. The Touit is my only macro solution which is part of the reason for my view above. I really "got to know" it in Funchal, Madeira, a couple of years ago and have loved it ever since. If I was only choosing between the two Fuji lenses, I would probably go for the 56 - It is my fastest lens and there is a strong case for that. All that said, the weatherproofing and compactness of the f2 makes it the lens I most often take when travelling, along with the 14, the 23f2 and the 35 f2. Chances are I'll leave the 14 and the 23 at home this summer, though, and replace them both with the new 15-42...

Having owned both, my vote is for the 50mm. The weather sealing, light weight, rendering, and sharpness trump the f1.2 for me.

I can try to talk you out - with the disclaimer that I do have a 16 mm myself.
The 16 mm f/1.4 is relatively large and will take quite a bit of room in your bag. Room that you could use to carry around the 15 zoom lens you already have, which is probably going to be enough for a lot of shooting in good light. It also focus really close, so you can get some boke by just moving closer, if that's what you are after with the f/1.4 aperture. Also, the AF of the 16 mm is not the fastest in C-AF. Last but not least, how often do you shoot in low light with such a wide angle? How often do you shoot in high humidity climates or in the rain? Why not carrying a small flash with you instead of this additional lens that you might use very little?

That being said, the IQ of the 16 mm is amazing. But there is nothing amazing in having an amazing lens parked at home.

I do too, just not every day. But when I need it I need it, and it produces. It does snore very loud at night, at least I think that's snoring . Could be growling. This thing wants to be used, and should be. I obey it's wishes. Shoot them till they quit.

I just tried to leave the house without it. I was going with the Roki, 18-55, and 50-230 for a nice light kit. Got to the car, turned around, went inside and put it in the bag. Like I said, I may not mount it once today, but if I need wide and fast, I have it. It has saved my butt before.
