. . . with a sigh and a twinge of disappointment, he boxed up the camera for its return trip. His brief foray into superzoom photography at its end, his eye fell on his system camera sitting in its protective bag. "Told you so", the little ILC seemed to be saying.
It seems Panasonic may have a QC issue with the FZ2500. Mine is boxed and ready to be sent back tomorrow. I took it out again when I got home from church, and the majority of my images had focus issues. MF with this camera works fine, but the AF is often not focusing on what the display says it is. DPR said their first review copy was so bad, they sent it back and asked for another copy. On the other hand, I've read other comments that said their FZ2500 was stellar, and there are 35 pages worth of excellent FZ2500 images on Flickr. I based my purchase of the FZ2500 largely on those images. In good light, the camera sitting beside of me works great; it seems to fall apart when the light starts to drop. It's a pity, but I won't be taking my chances on another Panasonic superzoom.
