Using Fuji Instax (instant cameras)

Anyone here a fan of using Instax camera like me?

I love it. I would probably use it all the time if the films weren't expensive to buy!

In a world of digital, Instax cameras provides instant physical photos. Actually, it forces you to have physical photos.

I still have Polaroid Packfilm in the Fridge. I would use the Model 250, SX-70, Spectra SE, and SLR680 and SLR690 much more if film was as cheap as when it was in full production. I've looked at Instax, but grew attached to the Polaroid Cameras. I'd bring the SX-70 to Kids birthday parties when Nikki was younger and give the photos to the kids.

If animal gelatine wasn’t in the film I’d likely have dabbled with it because I like to dabble! Unfortunately film manufacturers don’t appear to be interested in finding an alternative to gelatine any time soon so it’s a no from me.

What kind of images do you like to shoot?

I have an instax and 2 Polaroid Spectre/image.
I find the cost of paper expensive.

Instead I find myself using more often than not the HP Sprocket and print pictures straight off my iPhone.

I do love instant photography - and have now upgraded the the MiNT InstantKon RF70, a camera that through technical prowess helps me avoid wasting film.

However, I also agree that it's an expensive process - but if you wrap your head around it and get it right, it's hugely rewarding.
