I got a new lens cap to replace the one I lost scrambling through a ravine on one of my waterfall hikes. I seem to be quite accomplished at losing lens caps.
Ha! I was standing on a street corner downtown yesterday and decided to put the lens cap on the XF 18-55. I fumbled it and watched in horror as it dropped right into a storm drain. Went back to the office and ordered a replacement from Adorama.

I wanted a short strap for my X100F and found this on Amazon.
Strap on Fuji X100F.jpg

I'm a real fan of the cloth A&A straps that run a bit longer than 35", for me that's a really good length. This braided strap is referred to as the "short" version of a longer strap and runs about 29". I have a couple of wrist straps like this one and really like them a lot. For $13.85 I'm very pleased.

I completed the second stage of the great purge.

First round: I acquired the Nikon Z6 with 24-70mm S and FTZ adapter - and traded in the Nikon D5500, D90, 35mm AF-S DX, 16-85mm AF-S, 18-55mm AF-P, Sigma 30mm f/1.4 Art and 18-35mm Art.
Second round (today): I bought the Panasonic GX9 with 12-32mm pancake zoom and 15mm f/1.7 - and traded in the Olympus E-M10, E-PL7, 12mm, 17mm f/1.8, 14-42mm IIR, Panasonic GX80, 12-32mm (refurbished, faulty - so, a give-away), Sigma 30mm f/2.8 Art.

That's two cameras, three lenses and one adapter in, five cameras and ten lenses out.

The third round may or may not happen. I'm considering trading in the Panasonic LX100 and Ricoh GR for a Ricoh GR III - if and only if that camera proves to be a real upgrade to the original GR.

Impressive. I wish there was an option to trade in this town, or even in this country. One that was worth doing, that is.

Congratulations! The Purge sounds more-than-worthy to me. The GX9 in particular I think will be a much nicer camera than both the GX80 and the E-M10 (which I have fondness for, and thought was one of Olympuses truly nicer offerings in recent years...but the GX9 is just THAT much nicer, in so many ways). The 12-32 may be THE most underrated (and wonderful tiny lens) in the entire Panasonic lineup - and for me, the 15mm 1.7 PanaLeica is, simply, the BEST micro 4/3 lens I have ever used, I think.

I'm assuming btw that you still have your G1x III which I think still occupies a small pedestal in my camera bag (and/or shelf) as my favorite semi-pocketable and most-surprisingly-usable compact.

I also actually used to have a Sigma 30mm 2.8 Art and got surprising photographs from it; it's one of the few lenses I regret selling and might by again, one of these years. Or maybe not ;) The Z6 sounds like fun, as well!

Which is all a long-winded way of saying: good moves! and congratulations!

Absolutely - it's most probably the best fixed-lens compact camera I've ever owned, even considering the GR and LX100, both wonderful cameras in their own right.

The 30mm f/2.8 Art is a fine lens - but in my bag, it was superceded by the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 C which is even better and not that much bigger, so the f/2.8 lens had really become redundant. If you consider getting a 30mm again, try the f/1.4 model - it's worth every cent you pay for it.

The Z6 impresses and compels. It's the camera I would have loved to be able to buy two or even three years ago - it would have saved me from lots and lots of experimentation. I'm more than happy with my ILC choices now!

Recently purchased, lightly used, my 3rd (and last for awhile) lens for my recently acquired Pentax KP. This one is the SMC version of the truly diminutive ('pancake' doesn't even come close) little DA 40mm Ltd (Limited) lens which turns the already smallish KP body into an almost compact portable camera. The lens comes in two varieties - the Ltd version which I bought - and the less expensive (but equally optically excellent) XS version, which was manufactured as the 'kit' lens for Pentax's curious (but oh-so-cool) mirrorless camera, the K-01. Apart from plastic-vs-metal components, the main advantage of my Ltd version over the less pricey XS is the inclusion of the Quick-Shift feature (which allows Manual focusing while in AF mode).

All in all, it's one cool little lens :)

Quickshift is the best thing ever. Do other brands have such a feature on their lenses?

I don't believe any other lens manufacturers ever came up with any equivalent feature to Pentax's Quick-shift ability. It's yet another example of an old and occasionally quirky camera and lens company creating a product which was designed with photographer's needs in mind. I honestly wasn't initially familiar with it until buying my first Quick-shift lens recently...but now I've become semi-addicted ;)
