First sighting of Pradelles - Chemin de Stevenson-2018-D3-13 by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

Our first sighting of Pradelles which was to turn out to the end point of walking for the day as Mademoiselle Anne's injuries just got to much. We eventually arranged for a taxi to take us the remaining few kilometres to Langogne to give Anne a chance at some recovery.

Day 3 of 12 - Le Bouchet-Saint-Nicolas to Langogne: Walking the Chemin de Stevenson (GR 70 Robert Louis Stevenson Trail) in the south of France.

Modestine was reluctant to climb the 'interminable hill" out of Goudet and frankly we can relate her to point of view! In fairness to Modestine, by all reports she was seriously overload by Robert Louis Stevenson.

We paused on the climb to look back and take in the view of Goudet.

Day 2 of 12 - Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille to Le Bouchet-Saint-Nicolas: Walking the Chemin de Stevenson (GR 70 Robert Louis Stevenson Trail) in the south of France.
Are you finding the Stevenson Trail has reasonable accommodations for a pilgrimage-style walk? How is the weather? How far are the daily hikes?

I can only imagine the cuisine in that part of the world.

Plenty of accommodation options. We didn't camp rather stayed in gites and other budget accommodation. We averaged around 22 km a day, but it is really up to you.

We did this walk in October 2018. We had one day of afternoon rain and well it bucketed down for a few hours plus another day of very light intermittent showers. The rest of the time was nice weather; never got to hot, maybe 30 C at most.

View towards Langogne from the Villa les Roches - Chemin de Stevenson-2018-D3-14 by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

Having travelled from taxi from Pradelles to Langogne we en-camped at the Villa les Roches, an imposing residence on the outskirts (about 2 km out of town) of Langogne.

This is the view from our third story room looking down the valley to Langogne on a gray morning.
