All put into good order (I hope), list updated; should I ever miss anyone again, please contact me directly, I'm always grateful for any necessary heads-up!

Leaning strongly towards the 20/1.7.Well, it's up to you - but if you've never done it before, go easy on the restrictions - I'd choose a lens you're familiar and comfortable with, and I honestly limit myself in terms of subject matter and/or presentation; if, however, you do have the time and opportunity to make it work, go for it, by all means. If in doubt, choose something versatile - the 20mm f/1.7 is a great lens for the task.
What camera will you be using?
List updated.

I've been through every page recalling the banter in the lead up to the challenge, there was my first hint at having a challenge in the Australian winter which was really just a leg pull for Mark, but look what it's lead to, a challenge in July as well as the one last October. Also it bought to mind several people on there we are no longer in contact with, sad. Then I got out the slim book that was produced showing our best two shots each and further fond memories were bought to mind.
......Specify the gear you're going to use for the whole challenge - and stick to it as far as possible; while it's not necessary, let alone mandatory to restrict yourself to the chosen setup during the whole month, experience shows that this may boost creativity......
That wouldn’t be very Single, but more of a Double in July. For a little background on this challenge, see the original post by Mark/Stillshunter here.
I think the GX85 and the 20mm make a marvellous pair - that's what I'd use; not that the E-M5 II is a worse camera; I just like the Panasonic combo.Leaning strongly towards the 20/1.7.
Restrictions keep me from getting too lazy. I'm retired, so I can work out the time I think.
Undeecided between GX85 and E-M5.2, would welcome suggestions or what I've overlooked.
I'm doing the weekly assignments in mu-43 forum and enjoying the challenge of the unknown each week. This could be just as engaging for the recovering brain.
So, we will all be posting to a common gallery somewhere, and commenting on each others' work here? Sounds complicated. I'll need to see how it works.
Fine by me, David - we've long ago agreed on not enforcing any rules; the restrictions are there to get the creative juices flowing - but if they're a curse rather than a boon, noone will mind if you choose not to follow expectations. I have yet to witness any of those choices being detrimental!Well I took the single as single shot per day. Honestly sticking to a pair of primes instead of a zooms will be a challenge for me.

Well it would either be my X70 or my E-M1 with the PL25 or S56. I took the just X70 to Seattle just a couple of years ago, so I'm leaning toward the E-M1. As I mentioned I also have the X-E3. The 18mm would be like the X70 (so why not just use that). The 27mm is an option, but I'll opt for diversity since Steve said he's going to used that.I can guarantee that shooting with the 20 for the whole challenge will change your perspective on that lens. I did it last year and it became my daily driver. But if you feel a limitation like this would prevent you from entering, please use what you feel like. It will be quite the experience no matter what.
See my first post. Daily image threads (in any case), additional threads for discussion and motivation (*not* daily - as many as is practical; you'll see from their titles); there will also be threads to vent and reflect (half-time, closure - more if needed), behind-the-scenes stuff and outtakes. They'll all start with "SiJy 2019" ...Just a quick (and silly) question, do we have a section where we can easily find the daily threads to post to and review?
btw. We're still looking for someone to kick of the daily threads; I'll be joining somewhen during the middle of the day (or even afternoon in some places). The only thing I can offer is to initiate a thread for the next day before going to bed - but that'd have to be image-less ... And I don't have access to Bill's wealth of quotes, either ...

Actually, I set the next day's post the night before. The quotes were my way of filling the blank page as I still had to take the photo the next day. It's not hard but I'm a bit tired atm so would like to see what someone else might bring. A good field so far and I'll follow with interest.
You don't *need* the quotes - it's just something Bill always did and I found very nice; images are just as good, though.I'm in GMT+8 so it'd be quite convenient for me to start a thread each night early enough for the next day, I'll start each thread beginning with "Sijy 2019" followed by dates in the Photo Challenges sub-forum, is that OK or am I missing something?
And quotes, I won't be able to do, ideas?
I think I've got an idea, see you all in July folks. You don't *need* the quotes - it's just something Bill always did and I found very nice; images are just as good, though.
"SiJy 2019 Day X" will do fine as a title - that's what I'd've chosen, anyway.

I wanted to hit "like" but "funny" won out.Hi Matt,
After a bad GAS attack over the weekend I think I will use a "new to me" X Pro2 body, (round 2), and a Zeiss Touit 32mm f1.8mm lens for the month. The only reason I may need to change this at the last minute is FEDEX not making it here next Monday morning.
