Stroll Seen while strolling...walking and wandering outside

I got a mean tractor fix now (second one I saw and photographed today) - blame @grebeman for that; however, this one's a particularly fine specimen ...

Noise performance from the G1X III RAWs is bearable - but there's not a lot of potential at ISO 3200 for shadow recovery.

P.S. Marginal connectivity here, excruciatingly slow. Image scaled locally - for better or worse ...

Can somebody explain this one too me... Do both of those have natural coloration to them that wraps around them like a belt or is there actually something wrapped around them? 🤔
PS: That's a nice looking shot of cows! 🐄

Grebeman is perfectly wright ! It's (almost) a Belted galloway, but a Dutch version, the "Lakenvelder" ( best translation : field like a bedsheet )

Surprise, surprise ... didn't know that the Swiss capital is kiffer's paradise

CBD weed is indeed legal. For someone like me who really doesn't like the smell of cannabis, it's sometimes quite irritating. When I was at university and living in Zürich, cannabis was still illegal - but you could smell it everywhere, it was the mid-90's, the time of the "open drug scene", as it was called. It wasn't the best of places to live then ...

Last Sunday I spotted a tractor topping some of the vegetation on a potato crop local to my cottage so I walked over to photograph the operation hoping to use the images to produce a documentary series but when I got there it finished work and left he field. However I was confident that on Monday morning I would see the potato lifter in operation. On opening my curtains on Monday morning the potato lifter had gone. So thus far I've only got these static images of the unit. You can see three stages of the operation evident in the field, to the left vegetation desiccated, in the middle topped and on the right bare soil where some potatoes have been lifted.

Hopefully I'll be able to complete the story at some time.

Just for a change in between the tractor enthusiast pics. I came across this interesting variation of a roundabaout in Bern (Switzerland). Obviously there's not too much traffic around this cozy place "renaturalized" by locals who don't have a garden of their own.

Strange to see a roundabout without traffic. Every one I've encountered has been in busy American cities, and they have been madhouses of drivers entering and exiting a swirl of cars.
Near where I live there was a big roundabout called “Fiveways” because, you know....anyway, it was flattened and turned into a junction with traffic lights. Too many divers bumping into each other at the various roundabout turn offs writing their cars off.
