Fuji The great X100V discussion thread (formerly "specs leaked")

i've always been partial to the silver-and-black versions of this camera line - and rangefinders in general. But is anyone else drawn to the all-black version this time?

For me.....the X100 has always been silver and black ONLY. But I can't put my finger on WHY, but this V really looks SHARP in all black.

And while I detest touchscreens (and didn't need, but appreciate) the tilty screen, I'll need to wait and see what this new lens does. I NEVER had an issue with the old one. Sharpness is simply NOT a factor in what makes a photo appealing to me.

If the magic is gone, one may see a F cameras selling for a premium..... "the last of the great X100 cameras". Hopefully that is not the case.

I agree I was wondering what I could get for my minty x100t MPB offered me £380 it's worth much more to me I use it every day so sadly the V will be a dream buy.

I know that if one needs to ask for an explanation, the joke loses its' humor. But I'm sure this a good one.

How is my addiction to trying new cameras related to one's addiction to artificial potato chips?

I'm implying you sold the X100F to support your habit. I guess I watch too much Law & Order. 👨‍✈️

I've decided I want a black one. Rather than instant gratification and ordering one from Amazon now, I've told my wife I'm going to stick a bit of $$ away each month and buy one later this year. Perhaps I'll be able to save a bit on it some time around Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

I told my wife I would like one but there's nothing to sell except her there was a short discussion she said she was way past her selbydate it's a waiting game now !!!

For the rest of this year, I'm going to shoot only with an X30 I found for cheap. The money from selling my X-T1 and 23mm WR is going into an account I use for Internet purchases only. I'll add a little each month from my pension check until I have enough. We have other savings, but by mutual agreement that is strictly off limits for anything but emergencies.

I waited until I saw a nice T in black before buying. My wife is still not convinced it’s actually a modern digital camera. Imagine if I’d got a silver & black one?

IQ looks good in the videos I've seen, and there are some very appealing features . . . but, is the IQ truly superior to previous iterations? Anyone with a T or F want to opine? I know the weather sealing and tilt screen add to the functionality. I know I use my tilt screen on a regular basis when I'm out shooting.
