Fuji I could not help myself... Battery on charge.

I just dropped in to camera house this morning. Those men not at work were still there, still not doing anything and still blocking 8 parking spots but I got one.

They had 4 units, all of which were spoken for, so I asked if I could just take a look at one and have a little handle... anyway as luck would have it, the one that was set aside for someone was no longer needed by him, as he had got one elsewhere... and that meant I could have it. Sold! Not only that, I got it for $210 under camera house's RRP (as posted online) and $100 less than DCW's list price (which would have been added to with postage etc.)

So... finally joining the X100 throng. Wont be doing much with it today, not feeling real well at the mo, so I'm hoping to get out tomorrow for a while. I think this nice little bit of kit may well give me the impetus to get my ass down to Sydney next week, and start lurking around train stations, Hyde Park, Circular Quay etc.

Look out!

The first, with a target thats not so easy. Tom is getting sick of it all. I used f/4 but clearly needed 8 or so. Nonetheless, very happy with a first attempt, passed thru SEP3. I love the dials. I love the manual aspects. I love this camera already and I've done nothing with it. Off to spend the evening in front of the TV, and tomorrow... well...

Welcome aboard Sue. Enjoy the X100. With a little familiarity, she's turns out a real beauty! Can't wait to see more shots in your very capable hands.

P.S., Can someone please remind me what Don's commission is for each unit sold, again?

Don, I am so excited to learn about the extra wide reaching dividends that the X100 brings.;)
I'm getting a little dubious. First, all of these members of SC buy their own personal X100 cameras. Seemingly all is well. But then in the space of one single week we have a historic earthquake and a hurricane projected to reach biblical proportions.

Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not! ;)

BB, did you come back early to get out of the way or was your vacation sadly over?

Too bad you can't just walk into your local camera store and try out the x100.

Andrew, we had to leave due to the impending hurricane. Left on Wednesday night to avoid the mandatory evacuation at 8AM the next morning. We did the smart thing, though it was hard to leave. Should have been there until this coming Sunday. So it goes. Hoping for the best for all who are in the storm's path. Must go continue to batten down hatches, etc. Let's hope it will find its way out to sea and dissipate quickly!

Good luck BB, Those hurricanes seem to be getting more vicious every year :(
