When researching the date (I've not had any creative ideas beyond 2x13 - a new low), I came across the fact that it's the anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear accident.

Well, what to make of that?

All things considered, humanity got away with some pretty major slipups - apparently, we're amazingly adept at surviving our self-inflicted desasters ...

All the best, everyone - keep it up, just five days to go, we're still doing fine (y)

Back to my spring flower theme, and another very early morning capture since this delicate plant would be swaying about when any breeze occurs.

Laden with morning dew

This is a Cuckooflower, also known as Lady's-smock which grows in damper places. I photographed this plant in a field known as The Meadow less than 5 minutes walk from my cottage. The dew on it has made it look rather out of focus or unsharp, hopefully it's neither. The flowers are about 15mm across (a little more than half an inch).

This picture should really be looked at in a size larger than the forum post. I really enjoy the delicacy of these flowers, accentuated by the tiny dew drops.

Excellent work again so far, beautiful instruments. What I like behind the idea of this cigar-box corpus: with a bottom to open I could pack the songbook, capo, and all the rest of the tools just inside the instrument for transport. No additional bag, just the instrument inside the gig-bag. ;)

Thanks Walter. Some people actually do leave their cigar box instruments so they can open, but I glue mine shut to give a more rigid, buzz-free frame.
