If this really was abandoned and no longer anyone's property, I'd be tempted to take an Allen key to the saddle holder ... That's a well-ridden Brooks, not any old cheapo article ...

But I guess it was stolen previously and then left behind - not something I'd touch in earnest.

The bike in itself was a good brand as well, Raleigh if I remember correctly.
But all the parts that could rust were rusted. The saddle would have been moldy.
I came upon this, kind of "in the middle of nowhere". There still was a lock, just not locked but not snapped either.
That's why I assumed it was dumped or forgotten :rolleyes:

Really needed to get out of the house after a week of on-again off-again rain, quite heavy at times.
9.4 miles in a big mountainous loop around the local State Forest this morning, and home by lunch. It pays to be in the woods early. This wasn't really the composition I wanted, but the trail and the really steep drop-off right behind me forced me to compromise.
