Documenting and interfering with a mouse hunt.

You did much better than a woman I used to work with. Her cat had a mouse inside the house and Susan tried to rescue the mouse. She got the mouse away from the cat but dropped it, and the mouse ran under a piano. Susan tried to move the piano to get to the mouse, and accidentally ran over the little thing!

James, this was very cool. I have to admit I was rooting for The Mouse. Impressive shots and, as always very good storytelling!

Are you pursuing your filming path these days? I can easily see The Atom Chronicles as a series.:D

Thanks BB, I've been very slowly accumulating filmmaking equipment in preparation. Them things cost a lot of money, more than a Leica camera and lens. I think I will have enough to start making some films soon.

James, as relative newby here I've just been looking back over your past posts that document your nocturnal jaunts with the cats and absolutely loved seeing them and reading your stories. Brilliant stuff!

I must admit to being more of a dog man, but those cats of yours are beautiful. Keep the photos and stories coming please

D

Thanks Dewi! I've taken a ton of photos of my cats and dog, they've been the most accessible photographic subjects even during inaccessible hours of the night. When I've got an itchy shutter finger, I point the camera at them and shoot away. I've enjoyed reading the feedback here, glad you are all enjoying it too.

Today we learned that Atom has severe cancer. The vet said he has maybe two months to a year left to live. We are waiting for some biopsy results that will tell us whether it's "severe" or "extremely severe".

We are devastated.
Oh hell, James!! I know how attached to your cats you are. Poor Atom! Poor you! My heartfelt sympathies :( Do you still have Jadey? She will miss him, too :(
