A couple of wild plants.
First burdock, very much native. Apparently the root was used before hops as a bittering agent in beer, and it’s still popular in East Asian cuisine.

Then Himalayan Balsam, very much not native but flourishing widely.

Lastly the crop of maize in the field next door. The farmer planted this quite late after his attempt at growing barley failed miserably in the bone-dry spring weather. I’m not sure how much he’ll harvest from this either.

Yes, it does. Although I don't like the Batis' size for street work, its image quality is almost beyond reproach.
I've settled for the Sigma 45mm f/2.8 as a congenial partner for the A7 II; but the A7 II isn't quite camera enough for that lens, in my opinion ... It's nice enough, though, and I'm looking to get out of Sony, not deeper into it ... :)

Fair enough. Your systems list in your signature is just that little bit longer than mine... :D One of my reasons to stick with Sony thus far is that the Zeiss Loxia and Batis lenses only come in E-mount; I think as a camera I'd prefer a Nikon Z7 or Canon R5.
