I usually don't shoot video but this I had to test with my new Mark IV. Not bad with settings from the box, what say you?

PM sentI've had mine quite awhile.. I don't shoot with it because Ps 6 and Bridge cannot read the files. It is a slog to convert to DNG and then to CR2.. so much storage etc.
I don't really want to pay monthly for Ps software, so I've limited myself.. I know I'm cutting off my nose to spite my face.
Thanks Craig.. That information is appreciated.PM sent
Now we all want to know! PS6 cannot read my 80D raw files either. Thanks Craig.. That information if appreciated.
This sounds like a great application for the ACR.. You've saved me from going to the Cloud
There are several very good free and open-source Raw Processor substitutes for Lightroom and Capture One.
I've been using "ART", Another Raw Therapee.
ART (Another RAW Therapee)
ART (Another RAW Therapee), free download for Windows. Advanced image manipulation with RAW and other formats for the discerning photographer.another-raw-therapee-art.en.lo4d.com
I downloaded it, have been using with the Nikon Z5 which is not supported by LR6.
Craig, I also own licences for PS5 and PS6. I fought against the drip payment system for about 8 years.Yes, I've tried both Darktable and RawTherapee, and am impressed with both.
My main reason for keeping with CS6 is that PS is THE industry standard still,
and I'm nowhere near an expert with PS.
As such, if Googling for how-to's, I'm always going to find information
for PS above all else.
While that may be fine for you, John, I'm not a proponent of paying in perpetuity for software...after comparing costs for outright purchase of commercial grade software (e.g. Capture One Pro, DxO Labs, etc), to my absolute surprise, the Adobe Photographer's plan actually came out cheaper in both the short term and very long term!
This looks attractive to me, the more I look into it.There are several very good free and open-source Raw Processor substitutes for Lightroom and Capture One.

Photography is only a hobby to me, and I have to carefully consider each expense. I've switched to Darktable when PS6 refused to open my new camera's raw files. In the beginning it was a bit all over the place, but the current version is an impressive raw converter, and more.Darktable is another good open source raw editor. Steep....steep learning curve however. Call me crazy but for "simple" raw processing, I still like Canon's DPP4.0.

It seems the dev team is attempting to make it behave closer to PS and ACR,
which is a definite plus for myself.
I'll look into it some more, and likely download to give it a closer look.
