Picked up a lightly used Q2 with a great RRS grip and extra battery. Good deal off FM.
As a long time Coolpix A user, the 28mm FL feels natural. So far the lens seems really superb. With one work related travel on the horizon, this may become my traveler camera.

Nice. I'm sure you'll love it and a good find, as the Q2's appear to be in high demand right now.

I borrowed a friend's Q for a while recently, the camera is a thing of beauty - build, feel, usability. That Summilux is lovely in its render, AF/MF focus implementation, and macro capabilities.

Agree, this camera is really nicely made. A pleasure to use. The RRS grip is a great addition. I was considering ordering a new one but the recent price increase was a turn off. Used, they have been scarce. I really lucked into this deal when it was first posted on FM.

135mm f/4 Sonnar in Exakta mount. .....because it was cheap :p

Okay, I just ordered:
  • the Nikon Z 7 II;
  • the Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S;
  • the Z MC 105mm f/2.8 S;
  • the Nikon Z fc kit with Z 28mm f/2.8 SE.
The Z fc kit will arrive later (maybe by the end of this month, not sure); I'll pick up the other stuff next week.

I'll also be getting a bunch of accessories, but I'll decide later what exactly; anyway, I already have stocked up on CFExpress cards a little while back (for the Z 6).

As is usual for me (by now), what's as important as what's coming in is what's going out:
  • the Sony A7 II;
  • the Sony A6000 (no, I'm not keeping it after all - the Z 50 and Z fc can take over now that I own a Z-to-E adapter; not the AF one, a simple dumb one, but it works);
  • the Sony FE 55mm f/1.8;
  • the Samyang 35mm f/2.8 FE;
  • the Sigma 45mm f/2.8 C (tough decision, but I'll be fine for the time being, what with the Z fc and the 28mm SE ...);
  • the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 C for Sony E;
  • the Nikon 85mm f/1.8G;
  • the Olympus 25mm f/1.8;
  • the Olympus 45mm f/1.8;
  • the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 C for :mu43:;
  • the Sigma 60mm f/2.8 A for :mu43: (still on the fence about this one, though - it's one of the best lenses of its kind, small and strong; I just don't use it much);
  • various bits and bobs around the Sony system, AF adapter, speedlight, flash system accessories; maybe even the external charger I've used for Sony batteries if I can't find a useful insert ...
  • maybe more that I've forgotten about at the moment; I'll put it all together over the weekend, I think.
By the time the Z fc is landing, I'll also have decided on the Fujifilm system. I'm still not entirely sure I'll keep it because these days, I just pick up the Z 50 whenever I could also go for the X-E3, but I do like all the bits I have ...

Polaroid has just released a new duochrome 600 film. Blue and black.

I ordered 2 packs to try out. Still have not hade a chance to try out the yellow and black
yet, but figured I’d snag it and see what I can do with it before it sells out.
I might throw one pack into the SUN600, and the other in the SX-70 with the ND filter attachment.

Looking forward to seeing the results!

There are definite advantages to having your FF and APS-C bodies with the same lens mount. That’s why I use Sony FF and Fuji. :rofl:

Guess what ... the Z 7 II is here, and the 24-70mm f/2.8 and the 105mm f/2.8, too. I'll take my time setting up the camera; so, first shots probably not before Friday (or the weekend, we'll see). The lenses may make it onto the Z 6 sooner ...

I'm reorganising my storage cupboard, too, and have acquired a few F-Stop ICUs, two Pro Small and two Pro Large, to help me achieve that. Uncharacteristically, I'm actually looking forward to making things easier to access while freeing up space as well as liberating some bags from storage duty ... Much of this will happen over the weekend as well.

You guys are helping me sleep better . . . I just bought a new bike frame that I absolutely didn't need, but really liked. Matt just bought a bunch of new camera gear, and on a bike forum where I visit, one guy went out yesterday and bought around 20 bikes from someone clearing out stock. I'll use you guys as examples when my wife wonders why I need another bike. :D

You're welcome :p In all honesty, it was that or the GFX100S; I think the Z 7 II is the way more sensible option :rolleyes:

Anyway, setup almost completed - missing Peak Design anchors I have to dig out, a screen protector and the SD card for backup; in terms of settings, I'm more or less there for day-to-day shooting. However, I want to set up a profile for action (tracking and such), but that'll have to wait until I can wrap my head around the changes and improvements vs. the Z 6.

btw. The focus point choice is kind of tongue-in-cheek; I usually focus on the logo on the EVF, this time, I didn't - it felt a bit over the top ... :D

One word: motorcycles.

Matt, I have been on the fence about switching out my Nikon DSLRs to go mirrorless ever since they were released. I was tempted by the Z6 or Z6II. But just could not see giving up the df.
But after getting use to the higher resolution of the Q2 for awhile, I am thinking more about the Z7 II. Probably still wait a while. But that is a very tempting kit.
Let us know how you like it.

I bought this pack - a WANDRD PRVKE - several months ago, lightly used, and have been trying it out bit by bit - and I have to say, so far, it's simply a well-designed and well-built piece of kit or gear. I've used it one one trip - both to carry cameras and odds and ends (including a small MacBook Air - and it's more than lived up to the glowing reviews many users seem to give it.
I was just wondering if you were still using the Wandrd Prvke and how you have found it? Also, do you use a camera insert with it?

I have heard the material can be easily marked. Has this been your experience?

Thanks in advance
