Only a short outing with the newly arrived Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S - already impressed by what the lens can do; it's of course heavier than it's f/4 sibling, but by no means overly so, and handling as well as results are very nice indeed. This will be fun once the weather gets a grip on itself ...
Sometimes, one runs across someone on whose face there is such an irritatingly-pleased-with-themself-smile, that you just want to scream. Mr. Rooter is one of those 'someones'

Went by for auto maintenance and waited in almost empty showroom. Due to the shortage of computer chips new cars are in short supply.
They only had one in the showroom and very few on the lot.
Looking at this (such a cool!) image, Karen, I finally realized that some photographs in your most recent monochrome series, remind me of some works of Expressionist art. There were so many notable Expressionist painters, poets and filmmakers, but not that many photographers, as far as I know. A lot of great painters: Egon Schiele, Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud, the list goes on and on; but also some of the images from the black & white films of F.W. Murnau. Sorry if I'm rambling but the point is: I like this image a lot...and the whole series.
