Those look great, Tim.

Always remember that if you haven't got the neg/positive, you can always scan a print.

I recently dragged out an envelope of negs, only to find that the emulsion had separated from the backing carrier. Got a decent scan from the 6x4" print.
An example: rescued from a 6x4" print after the negative was unrecoverable. Twinky ("Heywood Onyx", fifth generation of my own breeding line) from a long time ago ...

Good one! The representation of the tones on the hand signifies how film blends light and colour, making it one of the reasons why I shot film for a while before going digital. It's really different when the light captured goes straight to a recording medium.

Thanks, Timo. I probably should have cleaned the print more carefully, but it still demonstrates the process. That photo was taken in 1987, so nearly 35 years ago.
