Finally for a chance to get out with the new lens. Here are a few from my favorite local rock wall.

Aside from my ‘why I’m here’ post, I thought I better contribute some images to this site…

OM Digital Europe had an almost impressive promotion for this lens during the last christmas season, I got it for €369. I think it is a nice alternative to the excellent 12-40 f2.8 Pro and while it doesn't seem to be much smaller and lighter on paper, the difference in actual real world use is quite striking.

I imagine it's especially a great alround travel companion for the E-M5 Mark III, as the kit offers great weather resistence while being fairly light and compact.

Finally got my copy 2.5 years after launch, and selling all of my µ4/3 gear and then deciding to pick up a mint factory reconditioned E-M5 Mk II early this year during an OM fire sale. Seems like the lens and camera are going to be a good combination. These are SOOC except for resizing.

Alright, after pooh-poohing this lens a few times for its small maximum aperture, I handled it in a store this past weekend on my EM5II, and I was super impressed with the size, build quality and the lame in-store snaps I made with it. There is a use-case for lenses with apertures which aren't very large, and it's this: tiny size for the capability. With, apparently, really superb IQ. I was impressed.
