Fuji X-H2 with Two Different Sensors.

There is another possibility which has not been mentioned yet. Sony developed a new 32mp sensor and a 40mp sensor. So the X-H2 may come with these sensors and slightly differing feature sets depending on the uses these cameras are marketed for.

I don't find this that odd. It's like getting the same car with differing levels of trim, e.g., bigger and smaller engines, AWD vs. FWD, etc. Seriously, I think we're at the point where the real differences are inside the camera and not the ergs of the bodies.

Agreed, and it's not like there aren't other examples (Leica SL-2/SL-2S, for a more recent one).

Honestly, I don't foresee Fuji offering two different bodies for the X-H2 series. I think both will be the same, including type of rear LCD. Differences will be the internal specs, maybe higher frame-rate EVF... I could be wrong. We'll know at some point. Or later.

That would be a sensible approach. Perfect the body and create different versions, e.g. video and hi rez.
