Film What FILM (!) photography related item did you buy this week?

I may have passed on it since it wasn't remarkable and God knows I have a few 35mm cameras, but the lens intrigued me. I've looked it up, it appears they made a 1.7 and a 1.2 as well. Also looked up the camera, it has a really cool auto setting. Just lock the aperture ring in 'EE', choose your ASA and shutter speed and the camera exposes properly. The meter will change too, to show different max aperture depending on the lens mounted, and it also changes it's metering pattern to three different possibilities depending on the lens. Pretty advanced metering for the day.

In earnest, nice catch - have fun!

I only won the auction for the MX yesterday :)

But in mitigation, here's the bellows and bellows lens I snagged at a rather good price a few weeks ago....

Actually received last week, but started using yesterday. A 35mm bulk film loader, a roll of Fomapan 400 and some plastic cassettes, because I have very few and don't know where to snag any used metal cassettes. New metal is out of stock.
I don't trust the used metal ones, I'm always afraid the end will pop off. I purchased some plastic ones with a threaded end cap.

Fomapan 400 would be a really fun film to have a 100' roll of. I am curently working on a roll of 200, which is a much different film, but I may go 400 next time. Shoot at 400 and up and use something like Rodinal to embrace the grain and contrast, or go a softer developer to squeeze out more detail.

If you do not drop the loaded cartridge, I found the used metal cartridges did quite well. I never had one pop off on me. The main thing is to make sure the cap is seated properly.
The cap design is a trade off. Cuz you will want to be able to open the cartridge in the darkroom, without destroying the cap like you would with a commercial crimped cartridge.

Good Evening,

I've got my B & W darkroom (wet & dry side) up and running again. I just ordered two of these tanks; the hope is to see if the clear sky areas on the film (4x5) stay free of "drag marks" from a lack of random/turbulent flow.

Regards,

Edd

Someone made a copy of the old Honeywell-Nikor 4x5 tank :)
I guess mine just dropped in value.

Let us know how well it works.

Guys, I have some of old Nikor SS developing tanks with reels, one or two 120 if memory serves, and some 35's. Seems like one for 12 exposure and more for 36? Can't recall. Anyway, I'd be willing to sell the lot. There is a rare film starter for the 120 included in the deal too.

Probably 20x and 36x reels.
I don't remember ever seeing a 12x reel.

I am more than well stocked with tanks and reels.

I need some Canon shooters to help me round out this kit. I don't need the latest greatest just good solid lenses that will do the job. I can get a 17-40 f4 L for 350.00 from MPB that should do the job on the short end , I would like a 70-300 light weight lens for the top end of my pack. I'm getting old so light weight wins. I'll probably add an 85 to the 50 prime and call it a day. Thanks.
