Started playing with the macro-ish capabilities of the Tamron 28-75mm f 2.8 Di III VXD G2. (It's not as good as the Olympus 12-40mm f 2.8 Pro but still better than average)
I do love the colours and the rendition of the lens.
I have noticed I am struggling to find the composition I want in 3:2 more than I used to in 4:3 with subjects so close.
The Autofocus seems to work well enough at a such small distance, C-AF in particular.
And for bees, I think I prefer 75mm more than 50mm or 28mm.
The sharpness is quite outstanding.
While the bee has quite a bit of motion blur I still love the picture because of how awesome the bee's wings look, not a portfolio shot but an attention grabber.
While this one is definitely a portfolio picture and I am so happy I got at least one picture with the bee in flight ... damn hard to do at f 2.8 and so up close.
I think I am a lot more pleased with close-up/macro-ish performance of the Tamron 28-75mm f 2.8 Di III VXD G2 than the Tamron 150-500mm f 5-6.7 Di III VC VXD.
