"What's taking so long?" I would absolutely not recommend the Laowa 60mm f 2.8 Macro 2:1 lens for anything farther than the macro range for making images. The manual focus between macro and infinity is about 1 cm in length (a few degrees of turning) and it's almost impossible to focus accurately between half a meter to infinity. Took me such a long time to nail the focus on the eye and with a large LED lamp on top of the camera, I was surprised she stood there long enough for me to fiddle with the manual focus ring. Also the closer to infinity you get the darker the corners get, while they can give a nice vintage look (almost Polaroid vibes with the strong central LED light) I am not a fan of this lens outside of shooting tiny things (and I mean really tiny, I know my dog is small at only 4.7 KGs).
