Walter, I take it that these are the extremely rare Beaver Ducks?
Sorry, but I guess I've been sleeping when we had this in Biology.
As to the question whether it's a beaver duck or a duck beaver I checked *goo* . All I can say is:

Beaver ducks: The female duck mates with the male beaver. The male beaver has the dominant gene in passing down the body of a beaver, and the female duck has the dominant gene in passing down the duck bill. Together they form the platypus aka "Beaver duck". As you can see, that one's out of the race.
One kind of duck that is definitely not a resident here where I live is the Closet duck.
