Leica L-Mount cameras and lenses
OK Paul.... this piccie, plus numerous others you've posted recently, has just "inspired" me to buy a wide-angle lens.... a Meike 12mm f/2.8 for X-mount which was heavily discounted.
Let me know who you bought it from and I’ll send them my commission invoice! :)

Seriously, shooting wide is as lot of fun. It can be a compositional challenge at times, but when it works it gives a lot of impact.

You need to give lessons on processing. Your images are always so amazing and it's not limited to this format, they have the same qualities in M-4/3. I'm sure this has as much to do with your capabilities behind the lens but there's an essence that appears to me to have a lot to do with your processing style. Whatever it is, I stand in awe.
Thank you - you're really very kind with your comments!

As to processing - I think the secret is that I enjoy PP! It's as much fun as taking the shot in my view. In this case, the final result is a HDR stack of a 5-shot, 5EV bracket, a bunch of global slider tweaks, and then five additional masks. I'd be happy to give chapter and verse, but I'm sure you'd all fall asleep!

BTW - there's a really great landscape photographer on YT called Nigel Danson. He's very open with his knowledge and he does a lot of videos on PP. I can't say that I copy his ideas directly, but he's great at explaining some of the things that LR can do as well as explaining the reasons why you might want to use those techniques (from an artistic perspective).

Here's a recent one he did on PP - but there are plenty of others on his channel.

Some of Lucy writing in the kitchen this afternoon ......

Funny to come to the Leica forum to learn more about Panasonic, but subscribing to this thread, just to get a feed of these wonderful shots.

I keep saying that L-mount should not be hidden away in the Leica forum. Sure, the mount design is Leica's, but the L-mount Alliance is more than just Leica. In fact, it's pretty clear that Panasonic are the dominant partner and that most people who come to the L-mount system are highly unlikely to be buying Leica gear. I think there's a really good case to move L-mount up to be a top-level gear forum alongside Nikon, Canon, m43 etc. If you agree, maybe you could lobby the admins. I tried to make a case, but didn't convince them.
