It's a Scottish Fold crossed with a Burmese. He is a delightful little guy, but I should have read more about the genetic defect that leads to the folded ears. It leads to all sorts of other issues.

There's always that, yes. However I have the strictest instructions from the rest of the family of "NO MORE CATS"... sigh
Thank you for asking; we have grave concern about our dear Ziggy but after lightening our pockets considerably, the vet
has put him on a course of tablets for possible tick-borne blood thinning parasitic infection although there are some other
troubling pointers that came up on the x-rays. Arthritis, for one, an enlarged heart with rapid breathing, anaemia and a
strange 'filligree' type mass in his frontal skull area which is unexplained without a scope and the assistance of a specialist.
Apart from that, he appears in good shape for his age! Not terribly comforting, all of that

How did you get such shallow DoF at f 8? Tilt-Shit lens?
It's a combination of 120mm focal length, distance to subject, distance to background, and subject distance to background.

Intriguing, I did not expect to see an out-of-focus tail at f 8 though I admit that my personal preference is f 5.6 or larger for most of my images.
