Kevin, your whisk photo with that lens is a beauty. Industrial design enhanced by your black background!

Herman, thank you for yours - I always wonder if the architects/engineers who built these "bridges" realized the graceful reflections they'd be giving us.

Antonio,

I've seen this shot several times now, scrolling through the "reflections" thread and every time it just stops me short. I don't think I commented on it previously, but I don't know why not and thought I definitely should. It is just so incredibly well conceived, well seen, well executed, humorous, touching, ALL of that stuff. Everything I'd ever want in a great photograph. One of those that just makes you almost laugh out loud when you see it, not because of the humor, just because its SOOOO good. I have that reaction listening to a great jazz solo sometimes - the player will hit upon a phrase or passage that's just so perfect that all you can do is laugh - its an involuntary reaction.

Anyway, this is waaaaaay up at the top of my list of favorites and I wanted to make sure I let you know that more clearly than just with a 'thanks' at the bottom of the post...

Rock Creek Lake morning

Shot w/an FS7. I usually have no idea about the EXIF on photos it takes unless I look at the LCD when it focuses the shot (when it's all displayed) since I can't control the f/, the shutter, etc... Exposure and WB are basically it w/this little guy.

Camera? If everyone could remember to post at the very least which camera they're using for their photos, I know that many of us would be very appreciative.

Stellar reflection and image quality, tanngrisnir3 - and what a glorious scene!

I trend not to post many image in forums but here is a refection shot:

While this looks for all as an image of the boat in fact it is an image of the sky and I underexposed two stops to have it look as my mind saw it. Years ago in a different word I was very interested in astronomy and even to day I trip as I walk because I am constantly looking up. The sky was dead clear and opposite the setting sun we can see this dark blue gray band with the pink above it. What this is is the terminator of the earth shadow cutting through the atmosphere. To see it you usually have to have a clear sky and be out at the right moment as it doesn’t last long.

Woops, Sorry BBW I almost forgot, this was taken with a GF1 and the 20 mm lens.

Visitng Krakow means visiting some places where history was full of cruelty. Here a photograph of reflections of houses around the place where people from the Krakow ghetto had been killed or had been sent to death camps by Nazis.
For me it looks as were the houses shivvering from what they saw.....

This is becoming one of my favorite image threads. The photographs here are thought provoking as we pass from everyday scenes, historic memories seen in through our present day eyes, night shots, to Christian's latest addition - which for me has a kind of graphic designer's humor mixed in with nature's beauty. I like the wide ranging variety very much.:bravo-009:

Christian, is that a ship that is dry docked?

P.S. I apologize for my run on sentence.
